Ocala Main Street has welcomed a new leader to guide downtown revitalization efforts. Sara Lambert has been introduced as the organization's new executive director, bringing with her a wealth of community engagement experience.

 

Lambert previously served as the community engagement coordinator for the Marion County Parks & Recreation Department. She has also held leadership positions as president of Lotus Marion and former president of the Junior League of Ocala.

 

"I am absolutely thrilled to step into the role of executive director for Ocala Main Street," Lambert said. "Thanks to the organization's incredibly solid foundation, we have some real momentum right now. I look forward to building on that success and creating a lasting, positive impact across Downtown, Midtown, and Tuscawilla."

A community parade will celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary with veteran groups, local businesses, and community organizations.

Coordinated by the Marion County School Board, municipalities of Ocala, Belleview, Dunnellon, and local law enforcement, it is a unique opportunity for the community to honor freedom and liberty.

The parade will start at 7:30 PM at  Marion Technical Institute and last for an hour, leading into evening celebrations across Marion County, Florida.

Fireworks will follow at 9 PM at various locations including Veterans Memorial Park.

The route begins at Marion Technical College on Fort King St, heading north on SE 16th Ave, then east on Silver Springs Blvd until ending at Marion County Government Complex on SE 25th Ave.

Red, White & Kaboom: Head over to Tuscawilla Park 

on Saturday, July 4th, for one of the city's largest community gatherings. It features live music, food trucks, a free Kids Zone, and a massive fireworks display at 9:30 PM.
