Ocala Main Street has welcomed a new leader to guide downtown revitalization efforts. Sara Lambert has been introduced as the organization's new executive director, bringing with her a wealth of community engagement experience.
Lambert previously served as the community engagement coordinator for the Marion County Parks & Recreation Department. She has also held leadership positions as president of Lotus Marion and former president of the Junior League of Ocala.
"I am absolutely thrilled to step into the role of executive director for Ocala Main Street," Lambert said. "Thanks to the organization's incredibly solid foundation, we have some real momentum right now. I look forward to building on that success and creating a lasting, positive impact across Downtown, Midtown, and Tuscawilla."
Ocala Main Street operates as a non-profit, volunteer community organization focused on maintaining and improving downtown Ocala. Their work centers on community transformation through a four-point approach: organization, promotion, design, and economic vitality.
The organization has several upcoming community events planned, including Critter Chats at the Discovery Center and DJ Exit's Music Bingo at Midtown Station.
