First Friday Art Walk Brings a Free Night Out to Ocala |
First Friday Art Walk returns to historic downtown Ocala on Friday, November 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., giving readers a free way to open the weekend with art, live entertainment and family activities.
The city’s program features more than 40 artist displays, with local arts organizations providing free family art activities. Participating downtown businesses also offer extended shopping hours.
Start at the Downtown Square, listed at 1 SE Broadway Avenue. An event map is available at the Ocala Cultural Arts tent on the south side of the square, helping visitors plan their route among artists and participating businesses.
Make it a simple stroll or build an evening around a downtown meal. Art Walk admission is free; any purchases and restaurant meals are separate expenses. Check restaurant hours and reservations independently if dinner is part of the plan.
Give yourself time to explore during the three-hour event rather than arriving just before it finishes. Comfortable walking shoes and a flexible route make this an easy outing to tailor to your group.
Check the organizer’s update before leaving home: the city says inclement weather will cancel the event. Questions can go to Ocala Cultural Arts at 352-629-8447.

Ocali Country Days Brings Living History to Ocala November 7–8 |
Ocali Country Days offers a weekend look at Florida’s past on November 7–8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, at the Silver River Museum in Ocala.
The festival highlights life during the 1800s with pioneer cabins and traditional-skill demonstrations. Visitors can watch sugar cane syrup being made, see crafters at work and explore the museum’s exhibits.
Live music, food, vendors and crafts add variety between the history-focused stops. It is an outing you can organize around a few demonstrations, with time left for browsing and questions.
Festival admission is $10 per person; children ages 5 and younger are free. Florida State Parks lists park admission as free for the event. Plan separately for any food or vendor purchases your group chooses.
The museum’s event listing gives the destination as 1445 NE 58th Avenue. Use the special festival hours and admission price rather than the museum’s ordinary weekend listing when planning your visit.
Choose Saturday or Sunday to suit your schedule, bring your usual outdoor essentials and check conditions before leaving. The museum’s own 2026 festival page confirms November 7–8. For accessibility, payment or activity questions, call 352-236-5401 and consult the organizer’s latest information.
